Celebrating Touchstones: A (R)evolution in Dialogue

Join us as we celebrate American Vision and Democratic Practice and our Volunteers and Teacher of the Year. Featuring guest speakers who will share their perspectives on the American experience of democracy.

Time: Saturday, October 17th

  • 3:00 – 4:30PM Touchstones discussions exploring American ideals followed by wine, beer, snacks and conversation (limited to 45 attendees)
  • 5:00 – 8:00PM Fundraising dinner, guest speakers and art raffle supporting Touchstones programs followed by recognition of our 2026 Touchstones Volunteers of the Year – Volunteer Corps for the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women (MCI-W) and Dr. Gregory Hodges as the 2026 Touchstones Teacher of the Year.

Attire: The Army & Navy Club requires a jacket and business casual for men and similar dress for women.

Event tickets: Tickets are $150/person or $1,00 for a table for 8 people. $75 of your ticket is tax deductible or $400 for a table of 8, as permitted by law. Ticket price remains the same whether you choose to attend the discussion, the dinner, or both.

Raffle: Elliott Zuckerman’s painting, New Series #1, (2018), oil on canvas, 24” x 30”. Raffle tickets may be purchased online at www.touchstones.org/art/art-raffle or by calling the Touchstones offices. The raffle runs from Sep 24 – Oct 17 @ 6:00 PM ET. Tickets will be available at the event, and the winning ticket will be drawn and announced then.
